The Inanda Dam, tucked deep within the rugged Valley of a Thousand Hills just 42 kilometres northwest of the Durban CBD, is a spectacular and sprawling open-water filming location. It offers a massive contrast to Durban's urban coastal strip, providing filmmakers with an expansive, raw wilderness aesthetic that can easily double for international lake regions or dramatic mountainous backdrops.
